Marriage a life time love affair!

It is God’s will that marriage be something that will grow through out our lives.

It is God that designed differences in us as men and women!

It is God that gave marriage to bring happiness not misery!

GOD’S THREE PART COMMANDMENT.

God gave a three-part commandment at the beginning as He ordained the

institution of marriage. It remains the most concise and comprehensive counseling session ever presented on marriage. The words we will notice here are mostly one-syllable words in the English—plain words, easily understood, in spite of their infinite depth of meaning. These twenty-two words sum up the entire teaching of Scripture on marriage. These words deserve our careful consideration, for any real problem you face in marriage will come from ignoring some aspect of God’s Genesis commandment.

Genesis 2:24 Leaving—Cleaving—One flesh

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his

wife: and they shall be one flesh.

The first of the three part commandment, is leaving.

Marriage begins with a leaving of all other relationships, in the text it is referring

to the closest of relationships and because of that we can know that we are to leave those relationships that are not so close. These relationships must be broken, changed or left behind. Leave father and mother!

Scripture makes it clear that the adults must continue to honor his/her parents and, now that he/she is independent, he/she needs to care for them when necessary and to assume responsibility for them, rather than responsibility to them.

IN LAW’S A MAJOR PROBLEM IN MARRIAGES.

The first principle we can learn from (Genesis 2:24) is that marriage means leaving. Unless you are willing to leave all else, you will never develop the thrilling oneness of relationship that God intended for every married couple to enjoy.
